<h1>Indian Commercial Tax Departments to Complete Computerization by March 2013 with Rs. 1133.41 Crore Project Funding.</h1> A mission mode project for the computerization of Commercial Tax Departments across Indian States and Union Territories was initiated under the National e-Governance Plan. Approved by the Cabinet in February 2010, the project has a total value of Rs. 1133.41 crore, with Rs. 800 crore as central assistance. As of the report, Rs. 433.44 crore has been released to the States. The computerization efforts are expected to be completed by March 2013, as stated by the Minister of State for Finance in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
