<h1>Meghalaya Hikes Minimum Wages, Regularizes Workers, Launches 'CM ASSURE' Scheme, and Sets New Borrowing Ceiling.</h1> The Meghalaya government has increased the minimum wages for various categories of workers, benefiting around 85,000 registered laborers. Highly-skilled workers' wages increased to Rs 645, skilled workers to Rs 605, semi-skilled to Rs 565, and unskilled to Rs 525 per day. The cabinet also regularized 850 ad hoc employees and approved the 'CM ASSURE' scheme to aid small farmers during market price drops. Additionally, amendments were made to promote business ease, including allowing women to work night shifts with safety measures. An amendment was also approved to set the state's borrowing ceiling at 3.5% of GSDP for 2024-25.
