<h1>INROAD Project Completes 1.25 Lakh Hectares of Rubber Plantation in Northeast India and West Bengal, Benefiting 2.5 Lakh People.</h1> Over 1.25 lakh hectares of rubber plantation have been completed in Northeast India and West Bengal under the INROAD project, initiated by four major tyre manufacturers. The Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA) aims to develop two lakh hectares of rubber plantation across several states with a budget of Rs 1,100 crore over five years. In four years, 1,25,272 hectares have been planted, benefiting 2.5 lakh individuals. The project is expected to increase the Northeast's share in India's natural rubber plantation and production significantly. The initiative also focuses on enhancing local nurseries and grower capacities.
