Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Receives Us $ 4.5 Billion from Japan
While presenting the General Budget 2012-13 in LokSabha here today, the Union Finance Minister, ShriPranab Mukherjee informed that the Japanese Prime Minister has announced US $ 4.5 billion for the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). In September last year, the Government approved Central assistance to the tune of Rs. 18,500 crore for a period of five years for the project, the Minister added. The DMIC is being developed on either side of the Western Dedicated Rail Freight Corridor. DSM/MV/LMP/56
Infrastructure financing secures international loan support to advance industrial corridor development under a central assistance framework.
