        <h1>Indian Government Announces Rs. 3884 Crore Package for Handloom Weavers; New Clusters and Centers Across Multiple States.</h1> The Indian government announced a financial package of Rs. 3884 crore to waive loans for handloom weavers and their cooperative societies. Two mega handloom clusters will be established in Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, while a powerloom mega cluster is planned for Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra, with a Rs. 70 crore budget. Additionally, a Rs. 500 crore pilot scheme for Geo-textiles will be launched in the North-East, alongside the creation of Weavers' Service Centers in Mizoram, Nagaland, and Jharkhand to provide technical support to weavers.
