<h1>Union Budget Boosts National Rural Livelihood Mission Funding by 34%, Strengthens Women's Self-Help Initiatives and Rural Employment Synergy.</h1> The Swarnajayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana has been restructured into the National Rural Livelihood Mission to enhance self-employment opportunities. During the Union Budget presentation, the Finance Minister announced a 34% increase in NRLM funding, raising it to Rs. 3,915 crores for 2012-13. Additionally, Rs. 200 crores will be allocated to the Women's Self-Help Groups Development Fund, expanding its corpus to Rs. 300 crores. A Bharat Livelihoods Foundation of India will be established through Aajeevika. The Minister emphasized the need for synergy between the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and agriculture-related rural livelihoods.
