The IIP for March 2024 stands at 159.2, with sectoral indices for Mining, Manufacturing, and Electricity at 156.1, 155.1, and 204.2, respectively. The Manufacturing sector saw significant growth in basic metals (7.7%), pharmaceuticals (16.7%), and transport equipment (25.4%). The cumulative growth for April-March 2023-24 was 5.8%. Use-based classification showed growth in Capital Goods (6.1%) and Consumer Durables (9.5%). These figures are subject to revision as per the IIP's revision policy.
