The committee reviewed progress on negotiations to enhance the 2009 agreement, focusing on areas like market access and technical standards. Eight sub-committees reported on their discussions, and the Joint Committee set priorities for continued talks. The review aims to boost India-ASEAN trade, which reached USD 131.58 billion in 2022-23, with a target to conclude by 2025. The next meeting is scheduled for May 2024 in Kuala Lumpur.
