Launched in 2016, the initiative aims to foster innovation and investment through schemes like the Fund of Funds for Startups, Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, and Credit Guarantee Scheme. These programs provide financial support and incentives, with significant funds allocated to Tamil Nadu. The initiative has increased the number of recognized startups in India from over 300 in 2016 to 117,254 by the end of 2023.
