This initiative aims to modernize Dehradun's power network with a climate-resilient underground cable system, including 537 km of cables, 354 ring main units, and 99 substations. The project will enhance power supply reliability, integrate renewable energy, and reduce outages. It also supports women in rural areas with renewable energy access and energy-efficient equipment, alongside training programs for energy conservation and business skills. Additionally, a $2 million grant from Japan will aid livelihood and educational activities.
