<h1>Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana Empowers Women, Sanctions 67% Loans to Women Borrowers Over Five Years.</h1> Over the past five financial years, 28.89 crore loans totaling Rs. 17.77 lakh crore have been granted under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). Women borrowers received over 19.22 crore loans worth Rs. 7.93 lakh crore, making up approximately 67% of the total loans sanctioned. The scheme offers collateral-free institutional credit up to Rs. 10 lakh to micro and small businesses across various sectors. The government has implemented numerous initiatives to raise awareness about PMMY, including media campaigns and financial literacy programs, with banks also promoting the scheme through branches and Banking Correspondents.
