<h1>GST Portal Enhances Security with Two-Factor Authentication Rollout Starting December 2023.</h1> The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) is implementing two-factor authentication (2FA) to enhance login security for taxpayers on the GST portal. Initially piloted in Haryana, the 2FA system will be introduced in Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Delhi as part of the first phase, with plans for nationwide implementation in the second phase. Taxpayers will need to enter a one-time password (OTP) sent to their registered mobile number and email after logging in. This additional security measure will be required when changing devices or locations. The rollout began on December 1, 2023.
