Elections are set for October 11, 2023, in Geneva. India aims to enhance cross-border connectivity and contribute to the global multi-modal transport system by digitizing TIR procedures. The event, attended by key officials, highlighted India's commitment to expanding the TIR Convention's reach in South Asia. The TIR Convention facilitates international goods transport with a unified customs document, involving 78 contracting parties and over 33,000 operators.
