<h1>India's Union Government Collects 37.9% of 2023-24 Budget by August, Transfers Rs. 3,82,482 Crore to States.</h1> The Union Government of India reported receiving Rs. 10,28,931 crore up to August 2023, representing 37.9% of the budget estimates for the fiscal year 2023-24. This includes Rs. 8,03,944 crore from tax revenue, Rs. 2,09,582 crore from non-tax revenue, and Rs. 15,405 crore from non-debt capital receipts. The government transferred Rs. 3,82,482 crore to state governments, an increase of Rs. 64,709 crore from the previous year. Total government expenditure reached Rs. 16,71,757 crore, with Rs. 12,97,958 crore on revenue account and Rs. 3,73,799 crore on capital account, including significant allocations for interest payments and major subsidies.
