<h1>India's Union Government Reports Rs. 4.15 Lakh Crore Receipts by May 2023, 15.3% of Budget Estimates for 2023-24.</h1> The Union Government of India reported total receipts of Rs. 4,15,691 crore up to May 2023, accounting for 15.3% of the budget estimates for the financial year 2023-24. This includes Rs. 2,78,045 crore from tax revenue, Rs. 1,34,655 crore from non-tax revenue, and Rs. 2,991 crore from non-debt capital receipts. The government transferred Rs. 1,18,280 crore to state governments, marking an increase of Rs. 23,097 crore from the previous year. Total expenditure was Rs. 6,25,978 crore, with Rs. 4,58,189 crore on revenue account and Rs. 1,67,789 crore on capital account, including Rs. 1,10,663 crore for interest payments and Rs. 55,316 crore for major subsidies.
