<h1>New Facility Allows Taxpayers to Verify Reference Numbers on Offline Communications from State GST Authorities Easily.</h1> A new facility is being developed to allow taxpayers to verify document Reference Numbers (RFN) on offline communications from State GST authorities. While system-generated documents already have unique identifiers traceable on the GST portal, this new feature will enable taxpayers to verify RFNs for offline communications. The State Tax office can generate an RFN for physical correspondence, which taxpayers can validate both pre-login and post-login. This facility is specifically for offline correspondence from State GST authorities, while documents from Central GST officers can be verified using the CBIC DIN facility.
