of <h1>RBI Proposes Draft Guidelines on Basel III Market Risk Capital Requirements for Commercial Banks, Effective April 2024.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India has issued draft guidelines on minimum capital requirements for market risk under Basel III standards, seeking feedback from stakeholders and the public. These guidelines will apply to all commercial banks, excluding local area banks, payments banks, regional rural banks, and small finance banks, effective April 1, 2024. Co-operative banks are not covered by these guidelines. Stakeholders are invited to submit comments via email by April 15, 2023.
