The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) ranks 9th in standardization, while the National Physical Laboratory (NPL-CSIR) ranks 21st in metrology. The QCI, established in 1997, operates through the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) and the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), both recognized internationally. This achievement highlights India's commitment to quality and innovation, enhancing its global credibility.
