Out-of-pocket health expenses decreased from 64.2% to 48.2% during the same period. The share of health expenditure in total social services spending grew from 21% in FY19 to 26% in FY23. Government health spending reached 2.2% of GDP in FY22, up from 1.6% in FY21. Primary healthcare expenditure increased from 51.1% in FY14 to 55.2% in FY19, enhancing access to quality services and reducing secondary care needs.
