<h1>India to Issue Sovereign Gold Bonds in Two Tranches for 2022-23; Available December 2022 & March 2023.</h1> The Government of India, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, announced the issuance of Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) in two tranches for 2022-23. The bonds will be available for subscription in December 2022 and March 2023. SGBs will be sold through commercial banks, post offices, and stock exchanges, with a minimum investment of one gram of gold and a maximum limit of 4 kg for individuals. The bonds have an eight-year tenor with a premature redemption option after five years. Investors will receive a 2.5% annual interest rate, and the bonds can be used as collateral for loans.
