<h1>Gujarat and Karnataka Top 2021 State Rankings for Startup Support; Meghalaya Leads UTs and North-Eastern States.</h1> Gujarat and Karnataka were named Best Performers in the 2021 Ranking of States on Support to Startup Ecosystems, with Meghalaya leading among Union Territories (UTs) and North-Eastern States. Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Telangana were recognized as Top Performers among states, while Jammu and Kashmir topped among UTs and NE states. The initiative, led by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, aims to enhance the startup ecosystem through various reforms. Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the potential of ONDC to democratize e-commerce and encouraged more startups to join the Government E-Marketplace. A new mentorship program, MAARG, was also announced to support startup growth.
