Finance Minister to Unveil BRAP 2020 Report on State and UT Business Reform Progress with Commerce Minister.
The Finance Minister will release an assessment report evaluating States and Union Territories based on the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2020, in the presence of the Commerce and Industry Minister. BRAP 2020 incorporates 301 reform points across 15 business regulatory areas, including sectoral reforms introduced for the first time, with 72 reforms identified across nine key sectors. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has been releasing BRAP since 2014 to foster an investor-friendly environment. The assessment is feedback-based, reflecting input from businesses regarding the implementation quality of reforms by States and UTs.
