The operation, named BLACK WHITE, intercepted a cargo consignment from Uganda, declared as containing trolley bags, with heroin concealed in 126 out of 330 bags. Follow-up actions in Punjab and Haryana recovered an additional 7 kg of heroin and Rs. 50 lakh in cash. The importer has been apprehended, and investigations continue. This seizure is part of a broader crackdown, with significant heroin confiscations by the DRI in recent years, including substantial amounts in 2021 and early 2022.
