<h1>2G spectrum allocation policy reaffirmed; LoIs issued under existing licensing regime and implementation irregularities are under investigation.</h1> The Government states that the contested Letters of Intent for 2G licences were issued under the existing policy established in 2003 for Unified Access Service Licence grants on a first-come-first-served basis with a uniform entry fee, that DoT implemented the policy relying on TRAI recommendations, that the Finance Minister raised revision concerns but did not set final terms, and that alleged implementation irregularities are being investigated and will be decided according to law.
