Over the past six months, IGI Airport Customs have confiscated 33.70 kg of heroin and 12.60 kg of cocaine, booking 16 cases under the NDPS Act. In 2021-22, 35 cases were recorded with drugs valued at Rs. 887.35 crore, leading to 34 arrests. Smugglers use methods like swallowing drug-filled capsules or hiding drugs in baggage.
