The subsidy covers the difference between MSP raw jute costs and sale prices, with a fixed overhead reimbursement of Rs.55 crore annually. It also regularizes subsidies from 2009-2011 and releases pending amounts for 2010-11. Additionally, a one-time government guarantee of up to Rs.150 crore is provided for working capital loans. This support aims to protect jute growers and stabilize the market, benefiting approximately 40 lakh farm families and the jute economy.
