<h1>Finance Ministry Disburses Rs. 9,871 Crore Revenue Deficit Grant to 17 States Per Article 275, 11th Installment Issued.</h1> The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, has released a Revenue Deficit Grant of Rs. 9,871 crore to 17 states as part of the 11th installment of the Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant. This grant is provided under Article 275 of the Constitution based on the Fifteenth Finance Commission's recommendations to cover the revenue-expenditure gap post-devolution. For the financial year 2021-22, the Commission recommended a total PDRD grant of Rs. 1,18,452 crore, with Rs. 1,08,581 crore (91.6%) already disbursed to eligible states. The grants are distributed in equal monthly installments.
