The National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP), managed by the Agricultural Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), focuses on regulating and promoting organic exports. APEDA supports exporters through various initiatives, including international trade fairs and capacity-building programs. In 2020-21, India exported organic products worth USD 1.04 billion, with 59,908 MT of organic cereal millets valued at USD 76 million. The government promotes organic farming through schemes like Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana and Mission Organic Value Chain Development, providing financial assistance for marketing and branding.
