The Indian government has implemented several initiatives to boost domestic manufacturing and exports of electronics, including mobile phones. These include the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for electronics and IT hardware, the Scheme for Promotion of Manufacturing of Electronic Components and Semiconductors, and the Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters under the National Policy on Electronics, 2019. Additionally, 100% FDI is allowed under the automatic route for electronics manufacturing.
