<h1>India's Urea Production Surpasses Target in October 2011; DAP Output Falls Short, Imports Ensure Adequate Fertilizer Supply.</h1> In October 2011, urea production in India reached 19.01 lakh MT, surpassing the target by 1.59 lakh MT, while DAP production fell short by 1.52 lakh MT at 2.72 lakh MT. Urea availability was satisfactory at 24.92 lakh MT, with sales up 8.12% from the previous year. For decontrolled fertilizers, DAP and MOP availability was 14.22 lakh MT and 3.00 lakh MT, respectively, meeting state demands. Imports included 7.95 lakh MT of urea, 8.95 lakh MT of DAP, and other fertilizers, ensuring adequate supply across the country.
