India's Agricultural Exports Surge 44.3% in Q1 2021-22, Thanks to APEDA Initiatives and Quality Certifications.
India achieved a 44.3% increase in exports of agricultural and processed food products during April-June 2021-22, despite Covid-19 restrictions. Exports rose from USD 3338.5 million in the same period of the previous year to USD 4817.9 million. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority's initiatives contributed to this growth. Significant increases were noted in the export of cereals, meat, dairy, and poultry products. APEDA's efforts include organizing virtual buyer-seller meets, promoting geographical indication products, and ensuring quality certification through recognized labs. These measures aim to boost India's agricultural exports further.
