The export was facilitated by APEDA and the Bihar Department of Agriculture, with the litchis sourced from Muzaffarpur farmers and imported by a London-based company. The certification was issued from a new facility in Patna. Shahi Litchi, which received GI certification in 2018, is among Bihar's key agricultural products. Efforts are underway to enhance Bihar's agricultural export infrastructure, aiming to boost exports of litchi, mango, and other produce.
