<h1>Competition Spurs Innovative Street Vending Cart Designs to Tackle Post-Pandemic Challenges; Students Lead the Way with Creative Solutions.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the National Institute of Design, organized a competition to design innovative street vending carts to address challenges posed by COVID-19. Students from various NIDs participated, creating cost-effective cart models that enhance business prospects for street vendors. The designs focus on improved packaging, hygiene, mobility, and efficiency. Winning designs included categories for food, fruit/vegetables, and general merchandise carts. The initiative aims to support street vendors in adapting to post-pandemic demands, offering new opportunities for innovation and customer attraction. Selected models may be mass-produced for widespread use by vendors.
