<h1>Over 10,000 Companies Struck Off for Inactivity u/s 248(2) of Companies Act 2013.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) reported that 10,113 companies were struck off between April 2020 and February 2021 under section 248(2) of the Companies Act, 2013, due to inactivity over two preceding financial years and failure to apply for dormant status. As of January 31, 2021, 12,59,992 active Private Limited Companies were registered. Of the 10,98,780 eligible companies, 65% filed financial statements for the year ending March 31, 2020.
