Andhra Pradesh secured Rs. 2,525 crore, while Madhya Pradesh obtained Rs. 2,373 crore. These reforms, mandated by the Ministry of Finance, aim to strengthen ULBs financially, enhancing public health and sanitation services. Both states have enacted legislative changes to implement these reforms, which include adjusting property tax and user charges to reflect current costs. Completing these reforms entitles states to additional financial assistance under the Scheme for Financial Assistance to States for Capital Expenditure.
