SEBI Freezes Accounts of 24 Defaulters to Recover Rs. 40 Crore from Mass Infra, Skymarg, and Life Care.
Markets regulator SEBI has ordered the attachment of bank and demat accounts of two dozen defaulters linked to Mass Infra Realty, Skymarg Agro Industries India, and Life Care Real Developers to recover dues totaling nearly Rs. 40 crore. The defaulters include directors from these companies who failed to comply with SEBI's directives to refund investors. Mass Infra Realty and Skymarg Agro raised funds without adhering to public issue norms, while Life Care failed to pay a fine imposed in January 2019. SEBI has prohibited debits from the defaulters' accounts and attached their mutual fund holdings to prevent obstruction of dues recovery.
