<h1>Cabinet Approves Nutrient-Based Subsidy Rates for Fertilizers 2020-21; Rs. 22,186.55 Crore Allocated for Farmer Support.</h1> The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by the Prime Minister, approved the Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) rates for Phosphatic and Potassic fertilizers for 2020-21. The per kilogram subsidy rates are set at Rs. 18.789 for nitrogen, Rs. 14.888 for phosphorus, Rs. 10.116 for potassium, and Rs. 2.374 for sulfur. Ammonium Phosphate (NP 14:28:0:0) is now included under the NBS Scheme. The expected expenditure for these subsidies is Rs. 22,186.55 crore. This initiative aims to provide fertilizers to farmers at subsidized prices, ensuring affordability and availability through fertilizer companies.
