New Trade Notice: Anti-dumping Sunset Review Filing Deadlines Relaxed to 180 Days, 120 Days in Exceptional Cases.
The Directorate General of Trade Remedies has revised the timelines for filing Anti-dumping Sunset Review (SSR) applications under the Customs Tariff Act 1975 and Anti-dumping Rules. Originally, applications were to be filed 270 days before the expiry of an anti-dumping measure, with a possible extension to 240 days with justification. Due to industry feedback about difficulties meeting these deadlines, a new Trade Notice allows filing up to 180 days prior, with further relaxation to 120 days in exceptional cases. This aims to accommodate genuine difficulties faced by the domestic industry in adhering to the original timelines.
