Consequent upon the approval of Government of India on 7.12.2016, National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) has been constituted on 22.12.2016. Government of India had approved constitution of a Board of Trustees of NICDIT with the following composition.

(1) Secretary, DPIIT : Chairperson

(2) Secretary, Department of Expenditure: Member

(3) Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs : Member

(4) Secretary, Road Transport & Highways : Member

(5) Secretary, Shipping : Member

(6) Chairman, Railways Board : Member

(7) CEO, NITI Aayog : Member

(8) CEO, NICDIT : Member Secretary

Details with respect to projects that have been evaluated, sanctioned, approved and completed are as under:-

This information was given by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.

National Industrial Corridor trust governance established with ministerial board oversight; projects sanctioned and several completed under DMIC. Constitution and governance of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust are described, listing a Board of Trustees chaired by the Secretary, DPIIT and composed of senior secretaries, the Chairman of the Railways Board, the CEO of NITI Aayog, with the CEO of NICDIT as Member Secretary. The Trust has evaluated and sanctioned projects, obtained Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approvals for a subset, and reports several projects completed or nearing completion under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
