Co-chaired by officials from India and Luxembourg, the session focused on enhancing bilateral economic and trade relations in areas like renewable energy, aerospace, ICT, and tourism. The event highlighted the dynamic commercial exchanges and the increasing interest of companies in accessing respective markets. In 2018-19, bilateral trade between India and Belgium reached USD 17.2 billion, while India-Luxembourg trade was USD 161.98 million. The Joint Economic Commission, established in 1997, serves as the primary platform for economic discussions between the regions.
