CBDT Launches Start-up Cell to Resolve Grievances and Tax Issues, Following Withdrawal of Angel Tax Provisions.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has established a Start-up Cell to address grievances and tax-related issues faced by start-ups. This initiative follows the withdrawal of Angel Tax provisions to support economic growth. The Start-up Cell, formed on August 30, 2019, consists of several ex-officio members and aims to resolve issues related to the administration of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Start-ups can submit grievances both physically and online, and the Cell is also reachable by phone. This measure is part of broader efforts by CBDT to simplify compliance for start-ups.
