The Monthly Account of the Union Government of India upto the month of July 2019 has been consolidated and reports published. The highlights are given below:-
The Government of India has received ₹ 3,99,673 crore (19.19% of corresponding BE 19-20 of Total Receipts) upto July 2019 comprising ₹ 3,38,705 crore Tax Revenue (Net to Centre), ₹ 43,905 crore of Non Tax Revenue and ₹ 17,063 crore of Non Debt Capital Receipts. Non Debt Capital Receipts consists of Recovery of Loans (₹ 4,705 crore) and Disinvestment Proceeds (₹ 12,358 crore).
₹ 1,99,912 crore has been transferred to State Governments as Devolution of Share of Taxes by Government of India upto this period which is ₹ 12,502 crore lower than the previous year.
Total Expenditure incurred by Government of India is ₹ 9,47,278 crore (34.0% of corresponding BE 19-20), out of which ₹ 8,39,673 crore is on Revenue Account and ₹ 1,07,605 crore is on Capital Account. Out of the Total Revenue Expenditure, ₹ 1,83,524 crore is on account of Interest Payments and ₹ 1,69,660 crore is on account of Major Subsidies.
Budgetary receipts and expenditure composition reported, highlighting tax devolution, revenue versus capital outlays, interest and subsidy burdens. Consolidated monthly accounts report central fiscal flows, breaking receipts into Tax Revenue, Non Tax Revenue and Non Debt Capital Receipts (loan recoveries and disinvestment), and noting the realized share of budgeted receipts. It records transfers to states under Devolution of Share of Taxes with a decline versus the prior period. Expenditure is divided into Revenue and Capital accounts, with Revenue Expenditure driven by Interest Payments and Major Subsidies, enabling assessment of mid year fiscal performance against budget estimates.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
