of <h1>India Maintains 50% Customs Duty on Fresh Apples; Additional 20% for U.S. Imports Stays Unchanged.</h1> The basic customs duty on fresh apples remains at 50%, with no recent increase in the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) rate. However, in June 2019, the government imposed an additional 20% duty on apples originating from the United States. There are currently no plans to mandate the inclusion of 5% apple juice in all beverages. This information was provided by the Minister of Commerce and Industry in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
