Revenue-earning freight loading increased by 5.33% in 2018-19. The Railways' electrification program aims to electrify 38,000 Route Kilometres by 2021, achieving 100% electrification of the Broad Gauge network. Efforts in cleanliness and sustainability include Green Industries Certification for 10 stations, 34 workshops, and 4 production units. Initiatives for passenger comfort and safety have also been implemented, such as lifts, escalators, and mechanized cleaning at major stations.
