        The 15th Finance Commission headed by Chairman, Shri N.K. Singh will   visit the State of Madhya Pradesh from  3rd to 5th July, 2019.  The Members of Finance Commission accompanying the Chairman will be Dr. Ashok Lahiri, Dr. A.N. Jha, Dr. Anoop Singh and Prof. Ramesh Chand.

        On the first day of its visit,  the Finance Commission will have a detailed meeting with the Accountant General of Madhya Pradesh. Following this it is scheduled to have separate meetings with the representatives of Rural Local Bodies, representatives of the Urban Local Bodies, representatives of Trade and Industry and the representatives of political parties of Madhya Pradesh.  The Commission will also have informal interactions with the Finance Minister and his team of officials.

        On the second day of its visit, the Finance Commission will have a detailed meeting with the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh,  Shri Kamal Nath alongwith his other Cabinet colleagues and senior State Government officers.  Following the meeting, the Commission is scheduled to visit Indore where the Commission will be given a presentation by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore on “Evaluation of Finances of Madhya Pradesh”.

        The Commission will undertake a number of field visits while in Madhya Pradesh.
