<h1>RBI Extends RTGS Timings for Customer Transactions to 6 PM; Revised Schedule Starts June 1, 2019.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India has announced an extension of the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system timings for customer transactions. Effective June 1, 2019, the initial cut-off for customer transactions will be extended from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. The revised RTGS schedule includes opening at 8:00 am, with inter-bank transactions cut-off at 7:45 pm, and end of day at 8:00 pm. Time-varying charges will apply, with Rs. 5 per transaction from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Rs. 10 after 6:00 pm. This directive is issued under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act 2007.
