of <h1>Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana: Over 5.67 Million Enrolled, Rs. 2,488 Crore Disbursed by 2018 for Life Cover.</h1> The Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), launched on May 9, 2015, has seen 5,67,88,890 enrollments and disbursed Rs. 2,488.44 crore by December 31, 2018. The scheme provides a renewable one-year term life cover of Rs. 2 lakh for bank account holders aged 18 to 50, with an annual premium of Rs. 330 auto-debited from their accounts. It is available through public and private insurers in partnership with various banks. The scheme covers death from any cause and is open to all savings account holders, including those under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
