<h1>Government Lifts Export Limits on Pulses; Imports Drop by 73.24% to Balance Prices and Support Farmers.</h1> The government has restricted the import of pulses such as tur, moong, and urad since August 2017, with an annual quota of 5 lakh MT to stabilize prices and protect farmers' interests. All varieties of pulses are now free for export without quantitative limits, allowed through Customs EDI ports and certain land customs stations with registration. Under the MEIS of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020, Bengal Gram exports received a 7% reward. The data shows significant changes in the import values of various agricultural commodities, with a notable 73.24% decrease in pulse imports in the current year.
