Industrial Development
The Government is implementing a package of incentives for the Special Category States of North East (including Sikkim) and the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The Package of incentives includes Central Capital Investment Subsidy, Central Interest Subsidy, Central Comprehensive Insurance Subsidy, Transport Subsidy, Central Excise duty exemption and Income Tax exemption.
List of Industrial Investment Proposals (state-wise) filed during the last three years is placed at Annexure.
The Union Government is implementing package of incentives for the special category States of the North East (including Sikkim) and the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The Transport Subsidy Scheme is also applicable to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshdweep and the Darjeeling District of West Bengal in addition to the above States. The Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (IIUS) is also in operation with a view to enhancing competitiveness of industry by providing quality Infrastructure through public-private partnership in selected functional clusters.
