<h1>IBBI mandates registration and exams for valuers under Companies Act and Insolvency Code, effective April 2018.</h1> The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has issued details regarding educational courses and valuation examinations following the commencement of section 247 of the Companies Act, 2013. Effective from April 1, 2018, individuals conducting valuations under the Companies Act and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code must register with IBBI as registered valuers. This requires necessary qualifications, enrollment with a Registered Valuer Organisation (RVO), completion of a recognized course, and passing a valuation exam. IBBI recognized two RVOs for various asset classes and published the syllabus and course details for valuation examinations, which are available on the IBBI website.
